Senior Manager Venue Technology Projects

Who are we hiring?

The Senior Manager, Venue Technology Projects is responsible for overseeing and managing Venue Development technology initiatives, ensuring alignment between technical and non-technical stakeholders, and driving continuous process development and improvement within the organization. Reporting to the Vice President of Venue Development – Technology, this role will connect stakeholders through high-level executive reporting and focus on both project management and technical execution.

What will you do?

Process Improvement and Documentation:

  • Observe, develop, and document venue technology processes to facilitate consistency, growth, and scalability across Sphere Entertainment.
  • Conduct QC reviews and technical turnover reviews, identifying areas for improvement and driving continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and external subject matter experts to probe for requirements and gather feedback for process enhancement.
  • Establish and maintain project standards and procedures to guarantee quality and consistency across projects.
  • Govern standards through audits and ensure adherence by the team to drive efficiency and innovation.

Technical Project Management:

  • Manage Venue Development initiatives from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Develop technical project briefs as required for venue technology and capital improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment of expectations.
  • Coordinate project communications, scheduling, and task lists for technicians and other stakeholders.
  • Provide support and assistance to team members as needed to ensure project success.

What do you need to succeed?

  • 6+ years experience in a technical project management related role preferably from within live entertainment, theatrical production, themed entertainment, broadcast/film or a related industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of production/entertainment technology systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with experience in guiding multiple functions and labor groups.
  • Expertise in developing, documenting, and reporting processes and workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to stakeholders.
  • Proven record of managing project budgets, operating budgets, third-party consultants, and schedules.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Commitment to providing a high-quality service experience for both internal and external clients.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Special Requirements

  • Available to work nights and weekends as needed.
  • Extensive standing, walking, keyboard usage and general administrative duties
  • Able to travel domestic and internationally (~30%)

Pay Range
$113,000$185,000 USD
