Who are we hiring?

Photogrammetry Field Manager is responsible for overseeing the capturing and processing of photogrammetry images, lidar scans, prop scanner(s), and drone photogrammetry aerial imaging for multiple downstream uses. The photogrammetry field manager will work in studio and travel to capture locations. The role requires ability to give clear concise direction to the photogrammetry technician team on shoots. Photogrammetry Field Manager will also perform in field QC of data before returning from location.

MSG Sphere is a hybrid new format that requires a careful integration of cinematography engineering, technology, and standard production practices as well a healthy perspective on the future of entertainment.  This role will mean creating new tools and integrate existing ones to capture and deliver on the unique value that Sphere promises. 

What will you do?

  • Photogrammetry capture of environments, vehicles, and props large and small
  • LiDAR and prop scanner capture of locations and various assets
  • Operate and support drones for aerial lidar and photogrammetry capture
  • Operate other scanners as necessary
  • Ensure quality of high detail capture as well as data integrity
  • Data organization and processing for handoff to other departments
  • Manage photogrammetry technician team in field to ensure high quality efficient captures
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment is performed by photogrammetry field team
  • Stay on top of developing tools and techniques within 3D data acquisition
  • Document workflows and captures

What do you need to succeed? 

  • Bachelor degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years experience in LiDAR and photogrammetry
  • 4+ years of camera field work experience
  • 2+ years Drone capture experience
  • Expert knowledge of photography
  • Expert LiDAR and other scanning technology& Software
  • Experience with drone and other aerial capture techniques of large environments.
  • FAA 107 licensed drone pilot
  • Understanding of post scan data processing pipeline.
  • Understanding of digital video production, digital workflows, cinematography, and/or post production environment 
  • Adaptable/flexible in high-stress environments
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and capable of managing a nimble shoot team working at a very high level
  • High level of attention to detail and organization.

Special Requirements

  • Must have Valid Passport for international travel.
  • Be able to travel for extended periods of time on short notice.




Pay Range
$139,000$170,000 USD
