VP Studio Business Operations

Who are we hiring?
The Business Operations & Insights team plays a key role in enabling strategy, optimizing business decisions and driving continuous improvement throughout the organization. The VP, Business Operations (Sphere Studios) will be a strategic partner to the leadership at Sphere Studios in these key areas. The role will be focused on supporting development of and enabling our strategy, as well as our process for production of content to support Sphere in Las Vegas. This will include original content, as well as content created in partnership with other creators (Musical Acts and other third party brands). The VP, Business Operations (Studios) will be a key business partner to the Head of Sphere Studio. The role will manage complex projects for the company focused on driving efficiency, productivity and profitability for our business, and will be a liaison and key advisor to internal and external groups.
What will you do?
- Lead process to compile short and long term Sphere Studios content strategy to ensure we are optimizing business outcomes
- Collaborate with cross-functional group of leaders on building a scalable process to assess content including financial, strategic and market-driven factors
- Partner with Finance on development of financial modeling and supporting analysis for content investment decisions
- Create playbooks to document and identify optimizations in our processes in collaboration with Sphere Studios Leadership, and stakeholders across the business operations team
- Drive cross functional projects and analysis on critical strategic questions for the Studio and business with focus on actionable guidance to leadership
- Distribute regular industry updates and market data to the team as needed
- Collaborate with leadership across the Sphere Studios organization to develop core business KPIs, and track progress against overall strategy and business plan
- Uncover additional opportunities and address them by developing projects/workstreams as needed. Proactively improve business operations processes and tackle points of friction to resolution.
What do you need to succeed?
- 10+ years of work experience
- Experience within Media/Entertainment and/or a major studio required
- Prior professional services and/or business operations experience preferred
- Comfort with PowerPoint and Excel to build strategic presentations and analysis
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively and collaboratively across different functions and levels in a matrixed organization
- Ability to break ambiguous issues into multiple manageable workstreams and execute
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, project management and time management skills required
- Experience leading complex projects including influencing, challenging and providing direction to diverse stakeholders to ensure alignment on solutions that are right for the business
- Enthusiasm for media/entertainment industry

- Periodic travel to Las Vegas, New York required
