Vice Chairman, Sphere

As Vice Chairman of Sphere, David Dibble, a seasoned technologist and business leader, works with executive leadership to explore opportunities to advance Sphere’s proprietary technologies, and deliver immersive experiences that fully leverage its capabilities as an experiential medium powered by advanced technologies.

Mr. Dibble has served as Sphere’s Vice Chairman since 2026, after previously serving as Special Advisor to the Executive Chairman and CEO of Sphere Entertainment. He joined Sphere Entertainment in 2016 as CEO of MSG Ventures, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company focused on developing live entertainment technologies to innovate the way fans, artists, and athletes engage and connect. 

Since 2016, Mr. Dibble has been instrumental in bringing Sphere to life, from concept to execution. Mr. Dibble oversaw the development of the audio, video, and connectivity technologies for Sphere that now enable the immersive experiences redefining live entertainment. This includes Sphere Immersive Sound, which beyond Sphere in Las Vegas has also been introduced at New York’s Beacon Theatre and Radio City Music Hall. The Company has an expansive portfolio of patents issued both in the U.S. and internationally, and other intellectual property, spanning areas including Sphere venue design, audio delivery, video capture and display, and 4D technologies.

As CEO of MSG Ventures, Mr. Dibble’s role also extended across the MSG Family of Companies – which, in addition to Sphere Entertainment, includes Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. and Madison Square Garden Sports Corp. – and he was responsible for helping deliver technology solutions across a diverse portfolio of venues and entertainment properties. He also had oversight for the overall technology function across the companies, including application development, technology strategy, infrastructure, and operations. 

Prior to joining Sphere Entertainment, Mr. Dibble was Chief Technology Officer of Cablevision Systems Corporation, where he guided the company’s technology infrastructure and enterprise-wide data architecture. This included leading the corporate engineering, information technology, network operations and software teams, as well as overseeing a wide range of company systems, including its industry-leading Wi-Fi network, while also supporting the design and development of Cablevision’s various products and services.    

Before Cablevision, Mr. Dibble spent six years at Yahoo! serving in multiple executive roles. As Executive Vice President of Central Technology, he led all aspects of global technical infrastructure design, science, platforms, engineering and operations. During his tenure at Yahoo!, he also designed and built the world’s most efficient data center and helped unify the central technology and core platforms groups into one team for improved efficiencies and greater alignment. Prior to Yahoo!, he held senior technology roles at companies including First Data Corporation, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Charles Schwab & Co., Fidelity Investments and FMC Corporation.  

Mr. Dibble is a graduate of the University of Kansas, where he earned his B.S. in quantitative economics and completed three years of graduate studies in economics, mathematics, and computer science.
