Building Operations Supervisor- Overnight (Full-Time)

Who are we hiring?
The Supervisor, Building Operations is responsible for coordinating the daily activities of the MSG Sphere as determined by the Manager of Building Operations. The position’s focus is on Department administration/support, building maintenance, project coordination, and Utility Maintenance/vendor coordination. This position involves the coordination and oversight of the Utility Maintenance Crew as it relates to completion of day-to-day tasks and event set-ups. This position will also be responsible for assisting with projects for in-house maintenance, outside contractors, and large capital projects.
What will you do?
- Responsible for coordinating daily activities within the MSG Sphere as it relates to events and maintenance; provide event and administration support.
- Key administrator for Computer Aided Facility Management system, monitor the status and completion of work tickets, enter work tickets
- Work with Utility Maintenance Crew, vendors, and contractors to complete building maintenance projects and new capital projects.
- Work closely with other departments to coordinate repairs and maintenance on building operations equipment including staging, crowd control equipment, floor and bowl seating, etc.
- Work with Utility Maintenance Crew to complete event requirements for the MSG Sphere events such as concert floor set-ups, conventions, as well as ancillary Sponsorship set-ups and activations
- Organize and schedule small projects such as radio inventory/repair, aerial lift maintenance, forklift scheduling/maintenance, fuel delivery, etc.
- Supervision of approximately 25-50 people
What do you need to succeed?
- 2-3 years experience in building operations within a large sports/entertainment complex, hotel and/or commercial building preferred.
- 2- 3 years supervisory experience required with demonstrated experience training, motivating, and handling progressive disciplinary issues.
- Possess knowledge of cleaning equipment, supplies and methods.
- Must be detail-oriented, organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills along with the ability to work professionally as a team player in a fast-paced, deadline-orientated environment.
Special Requirements
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends and holidays.
- Extensive standing, walking, keyboard usage and general administrative duties.
- May be required to lift items upwards of 50lbs.
- Required to have completed the OSHA 30-Hour training course
