Who are we hiring? 

The Director, Business Operations - Venue will be a critical partner to the Sphere Venue Operations team, supporting all aspects of the operations at the Las Vegas Sphere. The role will support the team in all aspects of the customer journey during an event at the venue including ingress, food & beverage, merchandise and guest services. Within each area, the Director, Business Operations will oversee creation of playbooks, standardization of process and data-driven measurement of KPIs to ensure we are meeting commercial and experiential goals. This role will also support Venue Operations leadership more broadly on strategic planning, process and resource optimization and ensuring cross functional connectivity critical internal and external groups. Finally, the Director Business Operations will ensure we are building scalable, documented processes that can be appropriately transferred to our global network of Spheres.

What will you do?

  • Partner with Venue Operations on developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation of operational processes and procedures to run events at Sphere
  • Leverage data and insights to uncover improvement opportunities in the guest experience, lead the implementation of enhancements and monitor results
  • Oversee strategic and operational support for Food, Beverage and Merchandise businesses including documentation of processes, analysis of business KPIs and customer feedback
  • Partner with Venue Operations on documentation of operational issues and escalations, allowing for timely resolution and communication to stakeholders as needed
  • Drive adoption internally for new processes, tools and reporting that will deliver upon business goals
  • Partner with leadership across the Sphere venue organization in developing and tracking progress against their overall strategy and business plan
  • Provide ongoing training to business stakeholders to ensure adherence to operating models/processes.
  • Ensure that onboarding and training in department is aligned with broader Business Operations and Company goals and values

What do you need to succeed?

  • 6+ years of work experience
  • Professional services and/or business operations experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively and collaboratively across different functions and levels in a matrixed organization
  • Ability to break ambiguous issues into multiple manageable workstreams and execute
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, project management and time management skills required
  • Experience leading complex projects including influencing, challenging and providing direction to diverse stakeholders to ensure alignment on solutions that are right for the business
  • Comfort with both quantitative and qualitative business data

Special Requirements (physical demands, non-traditional hours, travel etc.)

  • Periodic travel to New York required

Pay Range
$185,000$200,000 USD
