Senior Manager Technology Business Operations

Who are we hiring?

The Senior Manager of Technology Operations is tasked with executing network operations for the MSGE/Sphere Enterprise. In this role, the Senior Manager leads a diverse team of technical experts and coordinates the actions of the Network and Data Center sections to ensure network availability to the business and execute system/network integration.

What will you do?

  • Lead the technical team responsible for Network Operations in Madison Square Garden, Beacon Theater, Radio City Music Hall, Chicago Theater, Sphere, Corporate office space, and the New York, Las Vegas, and Las Vegas colos.
  • Establish work/shift schedules for the Network Operations Engineers resident in NY, LV, and LA.
  • Collaborate and align with the Corporate IT enterprise and Technology Operations Leadership to define requirements, strategy, solutions, and standards for the organization. Ensure Venue Technology, Security, and AudioVisual Playback enterprise systems are integrated into the network.
  • Collaborate with the respective artist productions to execute the physical and network integration of their systems.
  • Execute event and network status reporting in coordination with the Venue Technology and the respective Venue Operations teams.
  • Execute trouble ticket generation and response, carrier interface and escalations.
  • Monitor and remediate the cellular Distributed Antenna System.
  • Attract, motivate, develop, and retain highly skilled leaders, champion and model leadership development.
  • Accountable for continually improving network availability to Sphere Venue Technology, Security, and AudioVisual Playback enterprises.
  • Participate in all incident management calls involving Sphere networks and services.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and/or a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in a technology-related role of comparable size and scope.
  • 7+ years of delivering technology solutions at a Fortune 500 company with significant scale.
  • 7+ years in hands-on technical engineering or development role with previous hands-on distributed network engineering experience.
  • Effective oversight of cross-functional, sourced, or matrixed teams, particularly those collaborating with outsourced suppliers, through an indirect management approach.
  • Experience developing and delivering large scale enterprise solutions for a production studio or similar media entertainment company.
  • Strong knowledge of IP network troubleshooting in Production and Broadcasting environments.
  • Strong technical, analytical, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong comprehension of IT financial frameworks and adeptness in aligning them with corporate financial strategies and objectives, encompassing factors that influence process expenditure.

Special Requirements

  • Flexible work availability to include nights, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business.
  • Travel several times throughout the year to other business locations as needed.

$113,000$200,000 USD
