Digital Assets Coordinator

Who are we hiring?

This role is responsible for the flow of digital assets into and out of the MSG Sphere venue, managing petabytes of data from our Burbank Studios, other outside vendors, and individual sources. You will also be the gatekeeper responsible for ensuring all data storage devices and systems have been properly scanned with antivirus before they are connected to any venue systems. Post-show, you will document and archive all assets and configurations related to the show e.g. audio, video, lighting, configuration files, firmware, software executables, etc. This role requires intense organization and interaction with multiple departments and disciplines both internal and external. You will serve as key stakeholder in the criteria, selection, implementation, commissioning and training of a to be determined MAM solution.  

What will you do?

  • Collaborate with Burbank Studios and other studios in the organization to coordinate movement of digital assets via network and physical storage.
  • Provide event-day support to visiting production staff who need portable storage devices and computer systems to be scanned with antivirus tools.
  • Oversee the cataloging, archiving, and unarchiving of show data onsite and offsite.
  • Update asset tracking software with relevant information pertaining to I/O activity.
  • Plan and implement protocols and workflows to ensure preparedness for deliverables, audits, and disaster recovery.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a MAM administrator, Media Coordinator, Digital Asset Coordinator, or similar digital management positions.
  • Experience working with departments spread over multiple locations and interfacing with VFX, SFX, audio, lighting, and other production systems and 3rd party vendors.
  • Experience with network storage, asset management workflows, knowledge of security and encryption technologies as well as task tracking software.
  • Experience with file transfer systems and tools such as Perforce, Aspera, Signiant, FTP, GoodSync, robocopy, and similar.
  • Must have knowledge of various image and movie formats and codecs.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • College degree preferred or additional production certificate programs.
  • Experience scanning media and computers with anti-virus software.
  • Familiarity with post-production processes including ingest, cataloging/archiving, editing, visual effects, motion graphics, audio, color, and QC is helpful.
  • Works well under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and organization; has experience managing multiple fast-paced projects in a large organization.

Special Requirements

  • Occasional travel (<5%) to Burbank, CA.
  • Administrative duties involve extensive standing, walking, and keyboard usage.
  • This is currently a 100% onsite role.

Pay Range
$45,000$65,000 USD
