Who are we hiring?

The Custodial Supervisor is responsible for the daily administrative process pertaining to cleaning operations of MSG’s Sphere.

What will you do?

  • Prepares and assigns daily work schedules in accordance to business requirements. 
  • Generates and reviews timesheets while scheduling and monitoring labor hours on the electronic time and attendance system. 
  • Oversees cleaning staff during and in between events to insure cleanliness and safety of facility. 
  • Inspect facility for cleanliness and adherence to the company’s cleaning policies and procedures. 
  • Reviews and approves invoices, while maintaining records on inventory supplies.
  • Maintains strong working relationships with other departments and trade staff to ensure a coordinated effort of the workforce. 
  • Develops and trains new staff and assists in other special projects and duties as assigned.
  • Manage up to 120 full and part time cleaning staff including restroom attendants

 

What do you need to succeed?

  • The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience as a facilities/custodial manager or supervisor with knowledge of cleaning equipment, supplies and methods.
  • Previous experience working during events in a large entertainment or sports facility.
  • Must have excellent problem solving and time management ability while working under pressure. 
  • Must have knowledge of time and attendance management with the ability to create and maintain computerized payroll.
  • Previous experience scheduling a large union staff.
  • Will have excellent written and verbal communication skills with advance working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Special Requirements

  • General physical requirements such as lifting 25 lbs., standing for long periods, walking long distances, bending and constant motion is often required.
  • May be exposed to theatrical smoke, strobe lights, pyrotechnics, intense sound, rapid motion video effects, smoke, and odors
  • May be deployed to outdoor posts that may be exposed to triple-digit temperatures, UV rays, high winds, or monsoon weather. Appropriate hydration, PPE, and sun protection will be provided.
  • May have outdoor and UV exposure
  • Must be available to work all shifts which may include morning, graveyard, and swing shifts including holidays and mandatory events.

Hourly Pay Range
$30$30 USD
