Who are we hiring?
The Manager, Distribution will be responsible for proactively finding new distribution partners both domestically and internationally. Responsibilities include outbound efforts to identify and work with new distribution partners across the globe, assisting with the onboarding of new distribution partners, and maintaining a great business relationship with distribution partners through timely monthly & quarterly check-ins and reviews. The role will have a large focus on building our distribution partnerships, negotiating distributions deals, outbound sales efforts, and making sure Sphere is at the forefront of all domestic and international distribution channels.
What will you do?
- Identify potential new distribution partnerships through outbound efforts including outbound phone calls, sales appointments, outbound email efforts, and other necessary means.
- Work closely with multiple third parties both domestically and internationally to continue to find ways to drive ticket sales for all Sphere Experience shows at Sphere.
- Host monthly, quarterly, and annual sales partnership reviews with all Distribution partners with a strong emphasis on new and innovative ways to continue to drive ticket sales and build on existing distribution partnerships.
- Travel domestically and internationally to identify new distribution partners.
- Negotiate multi-year contracts for new distribution partners with assistance from Sphere sales leadership team.
- Maintain and assist with all current distribution partners with the ability to track sales histories, update contract information, and any other relevant information to ensure partnership is successful.
- Build strong relationships with OTA’s tour operators, DMC’s, ecommerce wholesalers, and international wholesalers at the domestic and international level.
- Work directly with our revenue management team and ticket operations teams to ensure new Distribution partners are onboarded in a timely manner.

What do you need to succeed?
- A bachelor’s degree in hospitality, marketing/sales, business, communications or related field.
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in distribution or sales within the hospitality industry inclusive of entertainment and attractions, meetings & events, travel trade, destination management organization marketing, hotels, etc, with a strong emphasis on prior sales experience and success.
- Ability to create and maintain solid business relationships both internally and externally, promoting and encouraging a positive and productive work environment.
- Strong organizational, analytical, negotiation and presentation skills with the ability to work under pressure and multi-task while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) as well as industry ticketing platforms and CRM including Ticketmaster and Salesforce.
- Excellent written and oral communication.
- The availability to flex hours for the occasional evening or weekend event.
Special Requirements
- 20% TRAVEL – Ability to travel domestically and internationally for client meetings, sales missions, tradeshows and conferences, as needed.
- Works primarily in an office environment but may require attendance at shows and other events on evenings and weekends.
- Reliable transportation for off-property events, sales calls, meetings etc.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
