Who are we hiring?
The Senior Specialist Employee Engagement & Internal Communications will play a key role in supporting a connected, motivated and informed workforce at Sphere. The Senior Specialist will lead initiatives that strengthen culture, boost engagement and keep employees informed and inspired – an ideal role for a culture champion and dynamic communicator. This role will report to the VP Internal Communications and Employee Engagement and partner closely with the VP People Practices (Sphere) and their team.
What will you do?
- Design and execute high impact, innovative employee engagement programs in partnership with People Practices, business leaders, Event Production and Venue Operations.
- Develop fresh, creative approaches to employee events, campaigns, perks programs and celebrations that reflect the energy of Sphere.
- Champion and execute culture-building efforts across all Sphere locations and business units.
- Manage the new hire orientation experience (event-based employee population) to ensure a seamless and engaging introduction to the Company. Collaborate with People Practices to evolve onboarding programs.
- Craft compelling communications that support high-profile internal moments (i.e. company milestones and launches) and key business priorities.
- Support execution of employee recognition programs across Sphere.
- Collaborate with internal creative resources to design and develop collateral for employee programs and events.
- Leverage employee feedback and engagement data to drive continuous improvement and spark new ideas.
- Oversees contract reviews with Legal department.
- Work with Finance on department accrual and expense reviews each month.
What do you need to succeed?
- 5+ years professional experience, preferably in employee engagement, event planning, internal communications and/or other HR-related roles.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic multi-site work environment
- Passion for fostering a strong organizational culture
- Strong project management, time management, organization and event coordination skills
- Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple levels and departments
- Creative storytelling, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of employee experience
- Experience with communications tools such as intranets, email platforms and design software is a plus.
- Ability to work within designated budget objectives
Special Requirements
- May be expected to lift approximately 20 pounds.
- Occasional long hours.
- Must be available for some travel.
- Must be flexible to work nights or weekends.
