Sphere Studios is seeking a Big Sky Integration Specialist to serve as the studio side lead for our custom camera platform's ongoing development, testing, and validation needs. This role bridges the gap between engineering, product, and production teams—ensuring that field needs are translated into clear requirements and that new features move seamlessly from development to extreme field use to validation in Big Dome and ultimately to final viewing in Sphere. The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of advanced imaging technology, fast paced production, and rigorous project management.

- Interface between engineers, product team, and other stakeholders to ensure production ready system
- Synthesize capture department and field requirements into cohesive product requirements and needs in order to communicate clearly and efficiently with engineering teams.
- Track technical testing and system validation (new calibration, firmware features, etc) from capture through ingest, post production, and final viewings in Big Dome and Sphere
- Coordinate schedules, roadmaps, weekly check ins, and deliverables with internal/external partners and stakeholders
- Manage external contracts, including optics, filters, and accessories to prioritize needs based on production and studio timelines.
- Serve as the liaison between Capture and Studio Pipeline to manage rollout cadence of firmware, features for validation, and review cycles in our test sites.
- Coordinate sensor calibration scheduling between internal and external stakeholders, production, and Studio Pipeline interests to conclusively determine studio approval.
- Manage development of customer-facing documentation such as user guides, change-logs, bug tracking and clear feedback from and for field teams. Keep all documents up to date
- Work with Service and Support to track non shoot related damages to camera equipment and document and communicate them to parties responsible for repair or further development
- Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site.
What do you need to succeed?
- Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, entertainment, or a related field; or an equivalent amount of experience
- 6+ years of professional experience in advanced imaging or digital production in a fast paced work environment, with 5+ years project management across all project phases
- Project management experience is key. (PMI certification a plus, but not required)
- Must have experience successfully delivering complicated technical projects on aggressive deadlines
- Advanced proficiency with Confluence/Jira/Trello
- Proven ability to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders, synthesizing field feedback into actionable product requirements and communicating engineering constraints in clear, accessible language
