Who are we hiring?

The Specialist Social Content is a key member of the Sphere Social team and reports into the Senior Director, Digital Content. This Burbank-based role is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive social media strategies that align with Sphere’s overall business objectives. This includes leading content innovation, audience growth initiatives, platform monitoring, and performance optimization. The Specialist will leverage deep understanding of social media trends, analytics, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic recommendations and drive impactful results.

We are looking for a self-starter who lives/breathes social, is a highly strategic and analytical thinker with a strong understanding of the entertainment industry and the ability to translate business goals into actionable social media strategies.

What will you do? 

  • Develop and lead the execution of social calendars from end-to-end (planning, drafting, scheduling, publishing, post-publishing QC, and fan replies) across all platforms (FB/FBS, IG/IGS, YT/YTS, X, Threads, TT, and LinkedIn); ensure all posts are accurate and in alignment with best practice, business/brand guidelines, and audience.
  • Act as a brand steward throughout all social content creation, working closely with Marketing, Brand, Comms, Bookings, Creative, Legal, and Photo/Video to ensure all representation is in line with brand guidelines and positioning.
  • Leverage Meltwater, Sprout, and other tools to perform daily social monitoring sweeps (AM/PM), including weekends (1x/day) – providing bulleted summaries and flagging pertinent business issues to Director for triage/escalation.
  • Conduct in-depth audience research and develop reporting frameworks on platform changes, trends, and owned performance data to understand effectiveness of our socials and make weekly reports with recommendations for posts, ideas, and continuous improvement; Work closely with Analytics team on regular tracking and KPIs reporting.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of Community Management, Publishing, and Social Care best practice documents, ensuring they reflect strategic priorities and evolving social landscapes.
  • Help with functions including budget management, social post tagging protocols, link in bio upkeep and optimization, and UTM code tracking.
  • Act as key participant in team and department brainstorming, status calls, and Slack channels. 

What do you need to succeed? 

  • 5+ years of professional marketing experience, preferably for a highly matrixed organization within entertainment, technology, or a start-up.
  • Hands-on, working knowledge of social platforms, including Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, X, Threads, and LinkedIn.
  • Experience managing multiple social media accounts at one time and highly comfortable with real-time posting.
  • Experience with social planning tools (i.e., AirTable), CMS tools (Sprout), Listening/Analytic tools (Meltwater), and editing tools (i.e., Canva, Slate, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
  • Proficient with basic copywriting; able to stay on-brand while also remaining authentic and engaging to platform audiences.
  • Self-starter who thinks a step ahead; adept at proactively sourcing relevant information across teams and broader organization.
  • High adaptability to shifting business needs and able to approach new ideas/solutions with openness and curiosity.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills; comfortable with operating in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communicator and collaborator, able to build relationships cross-functionally and coordinate across different time zones via email and Slack.
  • Availability to work nights and weekends.

What do you need to succeed? 

  • Some early morning posting required in alignment with announcements in EST.
  • Some travel required (roughly 2-3x/quarter) to Vegas to help with real-time content capture for various Live/Marquee, Sphere Experiences, and/or corporate buyout events (including evening/weekends).

Pay Range
$65,000$105,000 USD
