Andrea Greenberg is President and Chief Executive Officer of MSG Network, where she leads Sphere Entertainment Co.’s media properties, featuring two award-winning regional sports networks – MSG Network and MSG Sportsnet – along with digital properties that include MSG Network’s companion streaming app, MSG GO. In this role, Ms. Greenberg is responsible for overall strategy, including identifying new initiatives that strengthen the networks’ brand and represent new opportunities for growth. 

Over the course of her career, Ms. Greenberg has been at the forefront of the cable television and regional sports networks industry, serving in a variety of critical leadership roles at both the Madison Square Garden companies and Rainbow Media companies.  She has been responsible for a myriad of high-profile, consequential business transactions, including securing significant rights and partnership agreements with professional sports teams and leagues, affiliation arrangements with major distributors, and partnership and divestiture deals. In addition, she has built and managed numerous celebrated regional sports networks, where she has continued to create cutting-edge strategies and drove the development of first-of-their-kind ventures that have helped push the industry forward.   

Before her role at Sphere Entertainment, Ms. Greenberg served as President and Chief Executive Officer of MSG Networks Inc., which was a standalone, public media company from September 2015 until July 2021.  During this time, Ms. Greenberg continued to build on MSG Networks’ pioneering history, introducing new formats and digital applications as part of the company’s ongoing evolution. Ms. Greenberg started with the Madison Square Garden companies in 2008. Prior to that, she spent more than 25 years at Rainbow Media Holdings, the former Cablevision Systems Corporation programming subsidiary that was spun off in 2011 as AMC Networks Inc., last serving as President of Rainbow Media Ventures. 

During her time with the programming leader, Ms Greenberg served in various capacities, including strategy, management, content distribution and marketing, at several regional sports and national entertainment networks. Ms. Greenberg also played an important role in helping to develop groundbreaking new services such as Lifeskool and Sportskool, two first-of-their-kind instructional, on demand sports networks, and PVI Virtual Media, the first company to provide virtual insertion of computer-generated images into TV broadcasts (first down line). 

Ms. Greenberg’s more than three decades of experience has been marked by innovation and excellence, and she has been recognized as one of the most respected members of the industry.  Among her many honors: Multichannel News’ Wonder Women award; cited as one of the Top 50 Most Influential Women in Cable by CableWorld Magazine; recognized by YMCA-NYC Academy of Women Leaders; and listed by CableFax Magazine as one of Cable’s Top 100 Power Players. 

Ms. Greenberg serves on the board of the Garden of Dreams Foundation, a non-profit organization that works closely with all areas of Sphere Entertainment to assist young people in need. In 2007, MSG Networks and Garden of Dreams launched “MSG Classroom,” an award-winning educational program to teach high school kids about the media industry. 

Ms. Greenberg graduated from Brandeis University with a BA in Economics.
